- The Réseau Europén d'Études Littéraires Comparées / European Network for Comparative Literary Studies http://www.eurolit.net is to provide a European space for interdisciplinary dialogues about culture, literature and literary studies and to facilitate exchanges of ideas and information among scholars and organisations committed to the study of general and comparative literature, promoting international collaborative research and teaching, generating relevant debates through publications and international conferences, enabling the circulation of students and staff, and generally supporting and internationalising the work of regional, national, cross-national associations.




- Call for participation: The Réseau Europén d'Études Littéraires Comparées / European Network for Comparative Literary Studies http://www.eurolit.net is now associated with the Synapsis International Summer School in Comparative Literature based in Siena & Bologna http://www.unisi.it/synapsis/ . Graduate students and junior faculty are invited to participate in seminars and workshops in Italian, English, French and German 8-15 September 2008. The topic of 2008 is "Metropolis" and seminars are with focus on Rome, London, Naples, Paris, Berlin, Dublin, as well as photography and the city. The School offers a number of bursaries of 100 Euros each.
